Minor Accident & First Due House Fire

Engine 31 and Medic 38 handled a minor vehicle collision on Main Street around noon. They found 1 vehicle into a pole with one patient who was transported to a local hospital. Approximately 1 hour later, Box alarm 3-33 was dispatched for the house fire around the corner from the station. Units arrived to find smoke and fire showing from the house. Units found fire in the walls and extinguished the same without incident.

Tower on 9-17 Box

Box alarm 9-17 was dispatched for a “vacant house” on fire. First arriving units found fire showing from a rancher style home and a large brush fire in the back yard. Tower 3 responded with 4 and Duty 3 responded as command support.

Late Night House Fire

On 3-16-2016, units were dispatched to the first due of Pleasant Valley for a house fire. While responding, units were advised that one person was initially trapped on the roof and neighbors were attempting to assist him down. Chief 6-1 arrived with fire showing from the second floor and everyone out of the house and accounted for. First in units made a quick knock of the fire and held it to the second floor.

1 Pinned for the Engine

E31 with the assistance of Rescue Squad 4 (Manchester) extricated one in a 3-11 box. Units arrived to find one patient heavily pinned. After extrication, aviation transported the patient to Shock Trauma. [Read more…]

3-27 MVC

Units were alerted for a vehicle collision with rescue at Rt. 140 and Rt. 31. E31 (W5), E33(W6), M37, M38, D3, and Chief 3 responded on the call. Chief 3 had the command and found 2 patients unable to open their doors. Patients were found to be unharmed and able to self extricate.

Beautiful Weather for Training

Company 3 spent a total of 6 hours the past 2 days at the training center working on vehicle extrication techniques.
