I was a member of WFD from 1969 through 1980. The firehouse was on Main Street. My first big fire was the State Theatre Fire on Super Bowl Sunday in 1970. Jimmy Brown, Kevin Utz, Jeff Alexander and I were state troopers at the Westminster barrack and volunteer firefighters as well. I enjoyed being a member and I enjoyed knowing most of the members.
I recently saw Bryan and while talking discovered that while he is involved as a Fireman/Chief my sister Nancy and I work with the Harrison Township Fire Commissioners in Harrison Township, New Jersey - while checking out your site I noticed the write up about the Crab and Pit Beef Dinner - our fire company has an annual Oyster and Ham Dinner - Obviously we have access to Oysters and your region is more famous for Crabs - You have a great website - keep up your good work - volunteers are the backbone of this great Country!!!
