The Westminster Fire Department is the home of The Historical Museum of the Westminster Fire Department. Within the museum, visitors can see and examine historical documents, artifacts, and antique equipment from the fire department’s service to Westminster and the greater Carroll County.

The Historical Museum of the Westminster Fire Department is a museum whose purpose is the preservation and appreciation of artifacts and history of the Westminster Fire Engine and Hose Co #1 and surrounding areas as well as to teach and promote fire safety education.

The Westminster Fire Department is rich in history that dates back to 1823. We are very excited to be preparing for our 200th Anniversary in 2023.
