On September 13th members of Westminster, Reese, CC DFEMS, and the State Fire Marshall’s office participated in a discussion and learning session regarding Natural Gas, Propane, and CSST gas line emergencies. Participants reviewed CSST involved fires from the past year. Discussion was had by all on handling responses to these types of fires in the future. Training was organized by the Westminster VFD training committee.
The second part of the Gas Emergency training was held on September 16th with volunteers and CC DFEMS personnel from Westminster and Reese Fire Stations participated. Attendees learned the dangers of CSST gas lines and how to better respond to gas emergencies in structures. Good communication and information from all levels of experience was contributed from the attendees.
