Officers of the Westminster Fire Department along with personnel from surrounding stations and Carroll County Department of Fire and EMS of Maryland attended Everything Fireground presented by Captain Ariel Jackson held at Manchester Volunteer Fire Department. Ariel Jackson is a Captain in Anne Arundel County and presents this lecture at FDIC every year. This comprehensive course covered everything from the receipt of the initial alarm to the response to operating on the fire floor. This presentation laid out the officer’s role in regards to the response and guide the driver to size-up to the attack. It covered the various structures we respond to across the nation and some tips and tricks to mitigate fires.
