Chief 3 has a new vehicle. The 2016 4×4 Chevy Tahoe has been in service for quite some time now but has been recently been lettered. The vehicle has a hideaway interior light bar and is set up to run a command post from the rear of the vehicle.

Box alarm 3-3 was dispatched for fire extending into a house on 10-17-16. Chief 3-1 (Haddad) arrived to smoke smoke showing and fire extending into the dwelling. Units extinguished the fire on the 1st floor with minor extension to the 2nd floor.

Engine 31 assisted with an extrication on Route 140. Units from company 9 (Reese) arrived with one overturned confirming a working rescue.
Box 3-31 for the working building fire with reported entrapment. Units arrived with fire showing but negative entrapment.

Engine 31 and Medic 38 handled a minor vehicle collision on Main Street around noon. They found 1 vehicle into a pole with one patient who was transported to a local hospital. Approximately 1 hour later, Box alarm 3-33 was dispatched for the house fire around the corner from the station. Units arrived to find smoke and fire showing from the house. Units found fire in the walls and extinguished the same without incident.
Box alarm 9-17 was dispatched for a “vacant house” on fire. First arriving units found fire showing from a rancher style home and a large brush fire in the back yard. Tower 3 responded with 4 and Duty 3 responded as command support.

On 3-16-2016, units were dispatched to the first due of Pleasant Valley for a house fire. While responding, units were advised that one person was initially trapped on the roof and neighbors were attempting to assist him down. Chief 6-1 arrived with fire showing from the second floor and everyone out of the house and accounted for. First in units made a quick knock of the fire and held it to the second floor.
E31 with the assistance of Rescue Squad 4 (Manchester) extricated one in a 3-11 box. Units arrived to find one patient heavily pinned. After extrication, aviation transported the patient to Shock Trauma. [Read more…]
Units were alerted for a vehicle collision with rescue at Rt. 140 and Rt. 31. E31 (W5), E33(W6), M37, M38, D3, and Chief 3 responded on the call. Chief 3 had the command and found 2 patients unable to open their doors. Patients were found to be unharmed and able to self extricate.
